The Look For The Lies campaign is a proposal for an educational initiative for the Australian Cyber Security Center (ACSC). The goal is to address personal fraud among young adults aged 18-34.
The campaign aims to fill the gap in education and direction for this age group, as previous campaigns have primarily targeted older individuals. It focuses on raising awareness about the various forms of personal fraud, including card fraud, identity theft, and scam fraud.
To make the educational message more palatable, a novel and relatable approach was taken with the art style and the message. The Low resolution is meant to convey a feeling of unreliability, with short snappy colorful messaging to make the information easy to digest.
The campaign emphasizes the importance of knowledge and best security practices to combat these threats. It highlights the significance of 2-factor authentication (2FA) and provides guidelines for creating strong passwords. Additionally, the campaign introduces password managers as a secure way to manage multiple passwords.
